So I am back to reading this now. These entries are just fascinating little stories and some are very thought provoking too. Like it's hard for me to believe the word Blizzard only dates back to 1928! Didn't Europe ever get hit by huge snowstorm?? They must! So what did they call it? And bessemir mentions pig iron..what does a pig have to do with iron??

Some of the entries are intriguing, a great look at history and even mythology while other ones don't interest me very much. Plus I found some terms that relate to horses too! That is a big plus! I must admit I did not expect that in here...

I have read all of the "A" entries in here and I am amazed at how interesting this book is! I guess I just find these little stories fascinating. And some actually make me laugh too! Like how people were using a very popular hair oil but it was ruining their expensive furniture with stains! 😅 stupid people!
