I liked his other books on Bauhaus and Dyonisius Rising. I’ll be interested to see whether you think this is worth reading as well.

So far, so good! So many fascinating insights. My only complaint would be that it's a bit repetitious at times (i.e., it could've been edited down more). It's also dealing with such awful stories, especially during the French Revolution, that it left me feeling like I needed a spiritual shower, but that's nothing against the book, he doesn't go into too much detail, and he treats it all as appropriately awful. Overall, very helpful.

I'll let you know when I'm finished with it if my assessment changes!
