My father told me something I carry with me and that is, "If you find that you are the smartest man in the room, you owe it to yourself to move to another room." I am glad I found myself, through this work, in Jabari Asim's room, so to speak. So far, I found myself jotting notes on authors, considering things to review to inform classes and teaching, and more. Maybe not a flawless set of essays, but an important one.
