Part II: DONE. I've been reading it for a few days now and I feel like I need a break. :D I love scenes with Anna, Karenin and Vronsky - they're always filled with so much emotion and have the greatest metaphors. I wasn't a fan of scenes where Levin described everything about farming - I know it's vital for the message of the book, but it's boring. I'm still partial to Kitty - she's naive and childish. :D

Part I is done and I think I'm in love with it? Who knew Leo had was so good at describing scenes and creating atmosphere? There is the ball scene with Anna in her black dress and when she's dancing with Vronsky I was beyond myself. Not to mention the attention he pays to details, to body language, facial expression... and omg he is the master of foreshadowing. It's not very subtle but it creates suspense, I love it.
