I thought the same. But I also think if he were to show us his all powerful display then I think everything would be too easy. All the stuff they went through. I think the author should've toned it down if you know what I mean.

I love Rhys as much as the next red-blooded gal but I think about this ALL the time 😂😂😂

Hey there dear Ayanna, I hope you're doing well too! I'm definitely of the same mindset with the showing and not telling philosophy, and to be honest there is plenty of showing in this series, I think I'm just immensely curious about Rhys's power. Every time it's mentioned or demonstrated I get tingles 😁...and yes, every book in this series has been satisfyingly and satisfactorily devoured lol. And honestly, I don't just like it, I love it. I can't seem to stop with the grins 😂

I think this must be everyone's favourite from the series *heart eyes* Thank you Chaity, I can't seem to wipe the grin from my face, especially with every scene Rhys is in XD

That's a good point actually, and the more I started to think on it, I quite like the mystery of not seeing him at his most powerful, or knowing the finer details of his magic. I think the hints and gestures are really quite powerful enough. With a heavy reliance on magic, the characters most likely wouldn't struggle the way we want to see them fight without assistance, so I definitely see your point. And we know that Maas likes the theatrical lol

Anna, I read this because my blood was thrumming for Rhys long before I started the re-read 😂 - and there's still so much mystery surrounding the stretch of his magic that I wanted a bit of theatre. Suffice it to say, if it's about Rhys, I want ALL the details lol.

I don't think there'll ever come a time when I won't enjoy this series, it's an utter favourite and just a joy to read, thank you Jordan! I recommend this to anyone who'll give me their ear, so in the vain of a doting fan, I'll happily throw positive insights your way if you're curious. If ever you do squirrel away a time to read it, I hope enjoy it!
