Cassia’s Reviews > A Darker Shade of Magic > Status Update

My major issue is that you intro a female character who is suppose to be different and badass and grey and "not just your average female lead!!" And in her first two scenes she is assaulted by men and threatened with rape. Like. Ok.

It almost feels a bit unfair, after my review of Vicious, that this got picked as our book club book. So far, world building is much more expansive and concise than before. Characters...... To follow.
