So ends the great tale of the offspring of Húrin Thalion, Lord of the North. It concluded on much of a tragic note, yet the story was beyond enjoyable nonetheless.

Túrin took no heed to the information and sent the messengers back to where they came from. Túrin advised Orodreth to engage the Orcs in open battle after hearing stories of a large gathering of Orcs under the shadow of Ered Wethrin. The army of Nargothrond marched out to meet them but was forced back into the field of Tumhalad and destroyed, and subsequently, Orodreth was slain there. Then Glaurang came to Túrin.

Despite their brief earlier friendship, Gwindor started to grow in spite of Túrin's presence (for reasons I try not to include in any of my posts on any social platform). One day, two messengers from Círdan came before the King and told him of Ulmo's warning, that the Enemy is approaching and the denizens of Nargothrond must make haste and find refuge. Túrin, proud, did not trust them and took them as liars.

Túrin met Gwindor Prince of Nargothrond when he escapes the bounds of his captors, and Gwindor brings him to Nargothrond, a sub-terrestrial kingdom originally built by Finrod Felagund. Gwindor, scarred and battered from the countless battles, was not recognized immediately when he returned home. Over the months, Túrin, known in Nargothrond as Mormegil the Black Sword, became one of King Orodreth's trusted advisors.

Now, the story turns to the tales of Mîm, the last of the Petty-dwarves, and his encounterings with Túrin and his band of outlaws. Mîm, like his forefathers, has a simultaneous distaste for all beings except for his own. While in search of food and shelter, Túrin and his men caught Mîm steeling roots, and under pressure, the dwarf invited them to his abode.

The Nirnaeth Arnoediad was perhaps the most solemn and detrimental battle in the First Age, especially for those under King Fingon, who lost the battle itself and many heroes along with it. One of those who perished or got captured was Húrin, and there he was chained in Angband for many years, watching Beleriand slowly laid to waste. Meanwhile, Túrin and his people were under attack, and Morwen bore another child...

“We read now with greater hope than ever we have known before.” Túrin son of Húrin of the House of Hador was raised by his mother Morwen along with his sister Urwen. His father was always at war, and indeed in his early years visited the grand hidden city of Gondolin. When the lethal Evil Breath came, Túrin along with his well-loved sister took sick; however, after he was cured, he was told of his sister's death...
