Lots of quantum physics in part 3. I remember reading this the first time shocked that an author would actually attempt to explain the concept of destructive interference, and wave theory in general, in a universe so alien from Earth. In an Epic Fantasy. He could have easily waved his hand and said "magic" but didn't. Love it!
I can definitely see how some wouldn't enjoy reading that, however. For sure.

I worry for any eventual Stormlight adaptation that they won't get the little things like the Rhythms right. Or the Listeners. Or even spren. Or ... anything, really. It will be so hard to adapt

"I think we're losing. To a guy wielding [a scarf] he found in Adolin's sock drawer."
Her commentary is usually on point but to think Adolin would keep scarves in the same drawer as his socks is incredibly shameful. He would have a separate closet for all his scarves, most definitely, tyvm.

The argument with Yunfah is a perfect opportunity to reverse the classic Old Man Yells at Cloud meme, hehe

That Vyre/Judas/M went through all the trouble of having an evil Bridge Four uniform tailored is both hilarious and insanely pathetic and just proves what a complete waste of ink he is.
I honestly don't think I've hated a fictional character more🤦♀️

Starting the year out with a re-read I know I'll love since I've been very sick the last couple days and I need something to help me forget I feel like trash.
My sister gifted me the Graphic Audio and I'm so hyped to experience one of my fave books in this way once again.

The more I learn about this series, the more I learn that I actually know nothing, LOL.

That moment was SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I liked her character some before but after this book she has become my queen XD Thanks for bringing me back to that scene!
Before this book, I was never super invested in her, but I am SO glad Brando went ahead and made her a main character. This moment was excellent! I wanted her to stab him in the eye or something, lol.
I loved her from the get go. After all we don't see many powerful middle aged mothers in Fantasy with good roles (I'm a middle aged mother myself, so I'm always cheering those characters). Together with Jasnah and Hoid she's my favourite.
What held me back in the beginning was her throwing herself at Dalinar even when he kept telling her no. I wasn't a fan of that initially, but I didn't understand at the time how persistent one needs to be with Dalinar and that he wanted it too, ha.I loved everything about her arc in this. She is certainly NO type of damsel in distress and I love that 💪

She knew what she wanted and Dalinar just couldn't hold his own against her. That's how I 'convinced' my partner (of now 34 years) that he kindly had to fall in love with me XD.
It's probably one of the better romances Brando has written now that I think about it, right next to Wax and Steris for me. After they got together, there wasn't any immature conflict or drama, which I'm super tired of. Just 2 adults who love and respect one another, so refreshing.Oh wait, I thought Lan was the one who had your heart. Lol, kidding! Really, congrats on 34 years! That's #goals right there.
Yep ... romance writing is a weeeee bit immature with Sanderson. Not as horrible as Jordan, but still not to my liking. I'm always grateful when he doesn't go down that road, cause he obviously can't write it. ^^'LOL! Lan (or to be fair .. it's more the Daniel Henney version of him) is of course my guilty pleasure. But RL is still RL XD.
