My impression of Rebecca is that she is nothing more than a spoiled rich girl, who seems to be far too interested in men, especially her male cousins. I find this weird, and don't understand why there couldn't have been a family friend as her love interest. Why the incest? What was the author thinking? Also, why does she have an English accent? She grew up in India. Clearly, no research was done.

First impressions: It appears as if the love interest in this book are related. They are distant cousins. Well, this isn't much different from Flowers in the Attic by V.C Andrews, where brother and sister slept together. I can see why some people are turned off by this book. However, I will continue reading to say that I read it, because I own this book and want to knock it off the TBR list.
