No Goodreads reading-challenge target this year because I found I was selecting short, easy books in order to get the numbers up. This year, I want to read some of the classics that I've missed. They tend to be longer and more arduous than modern novels so I wanted to be free of the numbers pressure. I'm jumping right in with Eliot's Middlemarch as it has been so warmly reviewed by so many of my GR friends.

That’s a good plan, Beth. I think we’ve all been guilty of that at some time. Hope you enjoy Middlemarch.

This is my plan as well, Beth :)) And Middlemarch has been waiting for too long ..
