I have yet to decide if I’m going to finish this book. It’s soooooo sloooooooow moving and pretty pretentious. I mean, I love Italy, and some of the descriptions are gold, but this book is just not holding my interest. I hate to not finish a book though…

I felt the same way about this book! It’s very slow and I was bored most of the time.

Glad I’m not the only one. I’m simultaneously reading Bella Tuscany and it’s even worse. 😬
I much prefer A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle. It’s similar in that he and his wife purchased a house in France and renovated it. He also talks a lot about Provence culture and food. It’s funny and interesting. Just don’t read it if you’re hungry. 😂
