I would throw this book if I weren't reading it on my iPad! Now the Hero is said to be wearing jeans. This thing can't decide if it's set in 1800's America or during the French Revolution.

If you're freaking historical "gentry" why do you use words like "cool sexy smile" and "I better"? Bad writing, oh, how I hate it.

Now she's using the word "sexy" to describe a guy. What time is this supposed to be set in? What place? It's obviously supposed to be historical but the writing and word choices are so confusing! It reads like a cross between a western (cowboy, okay, stagecoach) and something else (nobles, rebels, estate). This is making me grumpy. :(

Reading this on Scribd. I'm confused about the setting. Is it England, Europe, or the American west?
