In which King Arthur says a many headed Dragon and a Giant and deals with an enchantress. If you are in need of fun, Spencer has giant worms jiggling in dark forests, knights, mistaken identity, and true love.

This world has a map that bleeds through in Pilgrim’s Progress.
We need an adaptation with a map marking the main features showing the teeth of the monsters and their death, then we need another adaptation of Pilgrim’s Progress with a map showing the same world but with the critical places redeemed in time. We need to see the bones of the monsters put down.
Then a modern novel about this land.

There are a lot of sticky phrases, but this seems like the kind of book that you have to read through once to be ready to read it.
This sits in a known, but forgotten world. Castle Despair exists, dragons fly, and there are enchantresses in the woods.
I would start someone with the Children’s Pilgrim’s Progress, go to the full book, then read this with Narnia for Lewis’s light interpretation.
