binge reading this in preparation for my story to be workshopped on tuesday... (my story is set in taiwan with taiwanese characters, partly set during japanese colonial era, has indigenous legends and a tiny bit of japanese and taiwanese; my class is predominantly white with no other asians)

omg i heard excellent things about this!!!! i borrowed it a while back but never got to it. i can't wait to hear your thoughts. :)

(i picked this up bc r.f. kuang mentioned it on her website resource on writing)
i need to know what you think about this book when you pick it up as well!!!
