I'm only about 11 pages into this and I'm not sure if I can handle this. We haven't even gotten to meeting her soulmates yet but between the writing style and something about the way Vanessa is nearly falling all over herself about the gods has me rankled. Perhaps it's because as someone who works with deities, I'm giggling at the overdoneness? Yes, give them respect and politeness, but ooof this is a little cringey.

While it took me a bit to get into it, (mostly because my brain took too long to chill out about personal deity interactions) I have been hooked by our main characters, and am rooting wholeheartedly for them now. I am both excited and incredibly anxious to figure out what the second half of this book brings.
