Geyer is a modern right wing Greater Israel Zionist who wants only Jews to vote, etc. Littwak is the egalitarian, liberal democrat who ends up winning. Beinart starts this book with a really good metaphor. The creation of the state of Israel definitely started with a Littwak in office; post 1967 it is increasingly Geyer. strong start
