Idk if it was my copy of the book or not, but my .epub version didn't differentiate between past or present time lines. The book got better and I started to like the story, but I was VERY thrown off by the italicized parts of the book that was suppose to represent a memory of the past within the timeline of the past, while the book was set in the present... I hope that made sense...

Already off, the first 10 pages I knew I wasn't going to like the Heroine. Not only does she seem weak and pathetic, but we are introduced to her via a conversation she is having with her cousin about how the Hero treats her like shit and she doesn't have the strength to leave him. Also, a HUGE negative is that she lets him mistreat her and is essentially "the other woman" in their "relationship." UGHHHHH.
