This is lovely and all, but it's reminding me of the dense encyclopedias I used to read as a child, when I constantly wanted to know more and was left with a lingering sense of dissatisfaction at the end of every entry. It's less a deep dive and more a chronological snapshot of concepts and ideas.

No, I will not be taking snarky comments on picking up too many books at the same time, I'll have you know that this is mostly a picture book.
