This is full of fascinating information. I knew about the Sioux, the Omaha, and a few others, but had never really looked at the tribes farther north. This is surprisingly comprehensive.

I don't know what made me think that I could read this while working, but I am, and it's slow going. Still, to learn more about the Mandans means a great deal to me. It's a good read.
