I’m no jazz expert, and I don’t even listen to that much jazz, but reading about modern Japanese history through the lens of jazz is very interesting! Add to that the thoughtful interrogation of what it means to do something authentically when it is not part of your own cultural heritage.. I’m enjoying this one a lot
