This portrait of Henry V is the most widely circulated portrait from the medieval period in my opinion. I appreciate the unknown commenter who wrote that the princes in the Tower's death was "rubbish", and their book recommendation.

I'm not sure if it's interchangeable, but generally I have seen it as "Olde English". Would be cool to learn some

Not quite sure what Saul means when he calls the Bishop of Salisbury a "wizard".

I don't think, even with a high level of confidence, a country can bounce right back from losing HALF its population. What a dumb comment to make about the Black Death.

Finally, we got a section that made real fucking sense. Glad we get more of a traditional explanation of events, as history told through legal charters and developments is not my favorite approach

I have taken multiple law classes, read books on the Middle Ages, and read actual court transcripts. However, I can definitively say that this has the driest and most confusing description of common law I've ever come across. I KNOW what it is and how it's used and I didn't have a clue what the book was talking about til they named it. 1483 is a bit later than the traditional end date for the Middle Ages.

This legal minutia over the coronation charters is really dense. While I can't say I'm enjoying all this, it is a bit interesting, if for no other reason than that I haven't read anything that goes into such legal depth about medieval England before.
