I’m starting to find the main couple incredibly dull…I wish Ashley was less condescending and Athenais a little brighter

Writing two sex scenes for a pairing that isn’t destined to be endgame, while one of the main romances of this book gets none was certainly A CHOICE™️
I would’ve preferred seeing leas of Eden taking advantage of Deborah and more focus on Pauline and Francis’s romance.

I’m not sure I like the way this series has shifted to historical drama. The first two books were still in HR territory, while this one aspires to be something else. We’ll see if it works.
