This woman seems to make some astonishingly bad (stupid) choices. Having been a solo traveler myself, crossing borders between countries like Malaysia and Thailand at the age of 22, I still never would have put myself in the type of danger in which Amanda seems to deliberately and stubbornly place herself time and time again. Taking a chicken bus to border cross Pakistan & Bangladesh to save $0.50 is just ridiculous.

I'd love to meet you, too, Julie! And I hope one day your daughters get to do a lot of (safe and fun) traveling as young women, if that's what they want to do, so that you do not have to sit at home and worry too much!
