"...I was terrified that if I tried my hardest, the world would learn I didn't actually have that much potential."

It's comforting to know that one of the brightest persons I know to exist on the planet hasn't escaped being in the hands of an Imposter Syndrome. It gives me hope that my deliberate efforts to put as little effort into showing that I can excel academically, doesn't mean that I'm actually not that dumb.

"...but you will know: This is not the thing itself, but a shadow of it. This is a handprint, but not a hand. This is a memory that you cannot return to." is very much like The Fault in Our Star's "This is not a pipe. It's a drawing of a pipe... A drawing of a thing is not the thing itself."

I'm okay... I think. But I'm still swimming in thoughts. Or am I drowning already?

I'm only at the second essay in the anthropocene reviewed and facially, my state is frozen but mentally, I'm swimming in an ocean with the sharks but they're just chilling with me there. I think in some crevice of my brain, there's a tiny me crying- in sentiment and comfort.

I think me writing a 596-word annotation is reaction enough

This has got to be one of the best book introductions I have ever read. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite books. I'll keep updating.
