Super fun story with Violet working up the nerve to give her extra special handmade Valentine to Mira and ask if she wants to go on an adventure. Great lgbt content. Violet could be coded as genderqueer or at least doing something different with the short hair and cowboy hat. Good text and art. Love the color palette. Great lgbt rep. Less sure about feminist rep. Need to look at previous picture books.
