I try to pace myself with short books that I instantly love, but sometimes they're just too good for me to help myself. I've put it down after each chapter but every time I just want to pick it up again. It's looking very likely that I'll read the whole book today.

Sounds like a solid plan. There's something about Blecher's style that draws a reader in and makes it hard to turn away. I'm having a similar experience with The Lighted Burrow, but unfortunately find myself hampered in my reading by life's persistent intrusions.
