I picked up "Why We Swim" to learn about the motivations of others for what's become almost an obsession for me.
About a year ago, a friend and I started the weekly routine of swimming in Puget Sound on Sunday mornings. We've gathered a couple of other friends along the way and also run into several other groups doing the same thing. It doesn't take much research on the internet to realize this is a "thing".
