I’ll come back to this eventually. Let’s just say as a quick assessment that I do not like this book, will likely finish it as some point due to how short it is, but have no desire to continue.

Oh no... I hope you enjoy this more than I did. It's been years, and I hope to be fully recovered one day.

I’m almost halfway through. Right now I would place this on my list of classics that I get why they are important, but do not particularly enjoy. Yes, it’s important because of the minimalistic approach Hemingway took. I also see why people loved it at the time (remember America was still dealing with things like prohibition and seeing this very European stance to things by an American author would have been fascinating) but frankly the book is more “important” than good at least to me.
Yeah, I reckon it's good for time period perspective. Still, it bored me into a coma, but at least it was easy to read (except when it was putting me to sleep). It also doesn't help that I can't stand Hemingway's style, so I'm biased in my hatred, ha ha.
