After Cyrus died, his son was such a despot that his very lance-bearer led a coup. They killed him and disposed of the body claiming "he was a fraud" to rid the murderer of the title 'regicide'—a title of lowest honor. He marched to Egypt, claimed to be Ra's new son, and then marched to Babylon in the midst of festival and killed the stand-in king claiming "fraud" again. Mene, mene, tekel. This was Darius.
