Yep. I've had terrible experience posting reviews on amazon, its teeming with those kind of people making that kind of arguments. Also, I smell a troll. That person practically called every 3-star and below review of that book stupid or a small-brained o.O fun times.

I think he/she was one of the seventh graders in the small reading group that loved the book. Age is not an excuse for calling people names. Shame on you 12 year old he/she!! Seriously, is Sami a boy or girl? Everything about this kid is confusing, even his/her name.

Ugh. This is why there needs to be a function to disable comments both on Amazon and on here. Yes it's nice to get comments from friends etc but it's also inviting people to insult/argue with you and not everyone is able to deal with that.

There at least needs to be a function that only allows friends to comment. They are asking for our reviews, which are for most part simply our opinions on how we interpreted a book, but offer us no protection from nasty individuals who are just out to argue or insult. Something needs to be done. I'm going to start a topic in the GR help section.

Seriously. People on Amazon are jerks. I've had more unnecessarily nasty comments on reviews posted there than everywhere else combined.

You're right. It does raise the question if a 12 year old would feel just as butthurty over dissenting opinions about a book. Ugh I'm growing old, I feel exhausted and eventually bored just wondering about what logic goes behind these kinds of comments o.O

Thanks Shell! I'm mostly left alone here on GR (mostly) and I'm open to discussing dissenting opinions so long as it's kept civilized (I'll even take pretend-civilized) but in amazon its almost impossible not to post a low rating for a book without offending anyone. That place is toxic for people with opinions O.O

YES. Who even runs that place? I wanna badger the person who keeps on returning my reviews because I violated their precious and pure values or what-not. I swear, for a site with such strict guidelines in their review content, they're pretty lax when it comes to policing this kind of behavior in the comments section.

For a while I didn't but with galleys that I rate 3 or higher I've decided to post there. I mean, it is meant for promotion and having something favourable to say about a book no matter the rating is better than nothing at all (or so I thought). But then I suppose people don't really read reviews and just check those stars. So yeah, galley or not, I'm keeping away from that site from hereon.

Mine are too dirty sometimes anyway, I tried to post them few times, always got a response from amazon that it doesn't suit their standards, lol! So Goodreads it is!

Lol...my pancreas is not okay, I'm not sure when it will be okay again. I HAD to finish the entire thing last night because I was so riled up that I would not have slept otherwise.
