The writing style isn’t doing a ton for me. There’s also some romance and it’s not really doing much for me either. The stressful atmosphere is good though. But that could also be that it’s like 4:30 am and I haven’t slept all night. It’s an easy read so far despite dealing with some heavy real world topics like gentrification.

I tried to fall asleep for 3.5 full hours so I gave up I’m just gonna read. It’s not even worth going into school on zero sleep either so whatever ☹️ anyway this book is engaging. I keep thinking “these people are pretty cartoonish in their racism, it’s kinda taking me out of it” but then I remember real people that I know who say stuff like that so. Yeah it’s not too far fetched
