Third of the way though this novel and Bet's constant poor decisions with men gnaws at me. She's aware of the positions she puts herself in but goes ahead and does it anyway. Additionally she consistently mentions that Ramsey is creepy and possibly crazy.

I'm starting to think Bet is deflecting onto him rather than address her own relationships.

Terrible cover but an good read so far.
