Reading this ahead of my trip to Stockholm as part of my usual country-specific prereading I do before I go anywhere…Apparently I read this in 2014 but I literally have no memory of that at all. I did have a 2 year old son at the time so maybe that explains my brain fog….

Good old fashioned storytelling - been such a while since I read a 19thc novel I keep expecting it to veer off into weird PoMo fun and games!
