The love triangle is to distract from the fact that nothing is happening and no answers are being given. And it's like nails on chalkboard each time they say "timeline" instead of "parallel universe", because that's how "timeline" is being used.

Ummm...different timeline isn't the same as different/parallel universe. If they are at a different point in a timeline, that doesn't mean what happens in the future doesn't happen, UNLESS its a different or parallel UNIVERSE. I'm not sure the verbiage is quite right...

There is a LOT going on in this book. Zombies we never see and may be an excuse for the dystopian government to keep everyone inside the walls, Bigfoot and the evil, power-hungry dystopian government afraid of a super-special teen girl in lurve. Apparently there is time travel too. I hope the author didn't bite off more than she can chew.
