In the introduction, the author has already tipped his hat toward conclusions with which I have disagreed, based on my own research. But I find the method of this study genuinely intriguing, and I hope I can gain something from seeing it in action.

I'm majorly disappointed in Miller's treatment of individual psalms in chapter 10. He makes a ton of assumptions rather than arguing his case. There have been numerous places where alternative interpretations are very plausible, but he doesn't even address the possibility that those alternatives might exist.

This book is fascinating so far (what I can understand anyway), but the typographical errors are getting to be distracting. UPenn needs to fork up the money for better proofreaders.
