I just don't get why authors don't ask their friends to pose for some pics so they could get the real thing... I don't think it's that complicated!

There are photographers who take custom photography for books. I'm friends with a couple on Facebook. It's expensive, but if you can afford it, it also means you might get people who look like your characters. xD

Her work is definitely awesome! :D
Yeah, I hate covers that look like they've been thrown together with very little effort or have absolutely nothing to do with the story. :)
Muchas gracias! All around! :)I'd personally like to see better typography. Some covers have shirtless men on them, or just some cute guys, and figure that's good enough. The designers of a lot of covers aren't paying enough (or any) attention to the typography, which speaks just as much as the title, the photography, and the overall aesthetic.
I like covers with bold colors or designs, complimentary colors, GOOD TYPOGRAPHY, and unique imagery. I'm a huge fan of type-based covers. :) If successful, they can be very strong!

Thank you for answering, Natasha! And agreed. Typography is really important and sometimes typography covers are awesome! :D

I'm tired of the covers that show the same models over and over. There's this one guy that seems to be on at least a dozen different covers. I really love covers that show artistic talent, like the cover for Dangerously Happy. It's gorgeous.
