Some please go and tell everyone in this book and Ms Zoe that 24 carrot gold can not be crafted into anything. Pure gold is so soft that it can be cut with a paper knife.

And then Zoe explains that it’s a false intelligence that only people low intelligence can be manipulated. According to her, “An intelligent person was far more likely to overthink, turning it over and over in their head, and second guess the issue, thereby falling into the hands of the manipulator.”

I am disappointed!

So Richard adores Lizzie’s intelligence. And she appears dumb enough to be for not recognizing that Richard is making a fool of her.

“To be needed, to be wanted, to the point of madness by this amazingly complex and intense man was… indescribable.”

Absolutely disliked this though process of Lizzie. Richard so far has come across as plain abusive. I can’t seem to see the romance in it all.

I am hopeful for Lizzie because in book 1 she has shown some backbone to her character.
