For the first time in ages, I am reading a book that is both intellectually challenging and thought provoking. I recommend skipping the forward. Having just completed the first chapter, I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the read. By page 3 of Chapter One, my internal voice was responding with so many questions and comments, thatI had to stop and scramble for a highlighter and a pencil.

The book picks up speed through Chapter two - a discussion of the culture of the Commons. I find myself comparing statements to the great social experiment going on at this moment in the context of a "Reality Show" drama called Utopia. While intended as entertainment, footage from this show would be excellent material to study on the discussion of waste/preservation and the behaviors that develop culture of commons.

For the first time in ages, I am reading a book that is both intellectually challenging and thought provoking. (I recommend skipping the forward - a bit yawnish.) Having just completed the first chapter, I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the read.
