This book was definitely a powerful book for the glory of God, there was plenty of biblical insight to be used as tools in our walks from an experienced Christian.

Now through the eight inning there were some powerful lessons. He taught about Matthew 7 and how we need to make sure we are choosing the narrow gate because this is the one that is less chosen and help us stay alive. I love this lesson!!

This book has been fire out of the gate, former baseball player talks about how his life changed when he starting seeking God and accepting Him.

Like a baseball player, we as Christ followers talk a certain way, carry ourselves a certain way that only other Christians would understand. It is like a baseball team that is separated from the fans, there are more fans than players its the same way in the world we live, there are far more non-believers than believers and probably for the wrong reason, because something bad may have happened and now they blame God.

The author spoke about how when he played alongside Gary Carter. Carter was a devout Christian and always did things as if he was serving the Lord, he never judged Strawberry and always had a smile from ear to ear.

These pages discussed some tough things to wrestle with, all Biblical truths that we must apply in our lives. Forgiveness is a tough one, the quote that was used in the chapter was from Lewis Smedes, "To forgive is to set a prisoner FREE and discover that the prisoner was you." This statement shows just how big this event is, think about when a President pardons a criminal, they are being forgiven and set free.

This chapter teaches about the renewal of our minds, we must take any worldly distractions out of our minds and hearts. Picture having a lawn in front of your house and trash from others yards blows onto your lawn will you pick it up or just let it dwell there? If you have weeds growing they must be removed from the root in order to prevent them from growing back.

Jehovah Jireh God is the provider, we must obey Him and what He has in store for us. Continue to trust His ways and give up our ways.

These pages discuss Erasing God Out or EGO, this is when we think we have everything under control or we can do things on our own. There are many different acronyms for EGO but this book chose to call it Erasing God Out. Whatever you do, put God first. He cannot be a resident where He is not president!! Where sin is, God won't be. These cannot coexist.

This book so far has told the story of Darryl Strawberry from when he was an All-Star for the NY Mets. It has taught about the free gift that God will bless us with GRACE = God's Riches at Christ's Expense. This also talks about how Strawberry turned his life around with the help of our unfailing God.
