Honestly this book is kinda dragging along… been almost a year since I started it. Still an intriguing story, but too much buildup. The recent elimination of some major characters has me questioning where Herbert is going with this series. We’ll have to see how it ends!

Good to be back! A bit tough to pick up the book after many months away, but the plot is still deepening and it’s exciting to see where Leto will go next!

Awesome up to this point! Cool to be following Leto II separate from his sister for the first time. Additionally, the developments around the identity of The Preacher added some depth to the plot and kept me confused as the suspense built!

Plot just took a major turn, and I’m seeing how this will turn into an adventure after all. After 250 pages of setup, everyone is finally on the move and the story is speeding up - excited to see where this goes!

Great so far! Just now got back into reading it when I had some time after Memorial Day festivities. Very interesting to see conspiracies against the Regency forming on Dune.

Quick hour of reading on the bus to SEEK22 in Knoxville - nice to have some conversation about the Dune series! Lots of people have seen the movie.

Just switched to a paperback copy from a friend, so I can return the library copy. Why is it I never get time to read when I’m in Cincy, even during co-op?? 🙁

Loving it so far! Weird to be reading a story not from Paul’s perspective, but the different angles make it really interesting. Lots of suspense in this book: Why did Jessica really come home? Is the Preacher just Muad’Dib? What about the plots against the twins?
