Did you know that Yew trees were grown in churchyards to make bows, but away from livestock and pets, for whom the fruit is poisonous? And that graveyards have a 'devil's door' on the north side, to let Satan escape and be gone? I now must trek and find evidence of these things. I honestly checked out this book just to exercise my new Raynes Park Library card, but it's really interesting.
