Finished chapter 4, and my 8 year old is so appalled by the boy's actions that she no longer wants to hear more. -- she kept saying the kids should go to juvi.
We are now on to 'Water and the Wild' - lots of new concepts and vocabulary, but she is getting it and absorbing the story -- at a slower pace, with so much background info to explain. I feel like a Lit teacher.
