Tate may be someone that can fill the void for Kya that her Ma and Jodie left in her. Tate doesn’t have a younger sister or mother anymore so Kya could possibly fill that void for him. He comes from a good home with his father. They work hard, take care of their family, and can express their feelings in a proper way.

The body of Chase Andrews was found by two boys. Chase was the same little boy riding his bike with his friends earlier in the book.

So far it’s a very interesting book.

Kya is pretty much abandoned by everyone around her. She takes comfort in the marsh. The water. He serenity. She first loses her mother when she left and then all of her other siblings left. They all left because of an abusive and neglectful father. Kya learned so much from her mother and brother Jodie. She has trouble trying to fill that void of losing them.
