I appreciate the desire to write a book that attempts to explain how the brain functionally uses electricity. It's a topic that begs to be written about.

Presently, I am annoyed at Dr. Field's lack of triage and organization in his first section, which is not quite medical history, not quite memoir, not quite biological elaboration. I am hoping that part two: "Understanding brainwaves"... Is to be an improvement.
