Every time I read one of these analytical texts my reaction is like "Wow how could I ever hope to stack up to creators like this, whose work shows depth and thematic recurrence at every level and in every element" and then I have to step back and remember a lot of this probably was not consciously done. Still impressive, but Insdorf is connecting the dots here, not Truffaut!
