I’ll give this another chance, perhaps later, but I don’t think I can finish this. His plot is so disconnected, and while the prose can sometimes be very beautiful, it doesn’t make much sense. The two (perhaps 3?) protagonists converse in a whole different level that is beyond my comprehension. I first thought it’s the translator, but no, it’s the author’s style. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for me.
