So far, so good. Probably far from a unique situation, but certainly well-documented because of the explosive nature of the crime and the interest on either side of Wesley's case.

Why put an 11-year-old away for the rest of his life? Because some thought (in the late 19th century) that the child was innately evil, carrying a murderous rage that he garnered from his mother when he was still in utero. Cracking read.
