Holy cow this whole paragraph is amazing: " But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane."

On another note,love the last words of this Ibsen guy: "he'd been sick a while and his nurse said to him, 'you seem to be feeling better this morning' and Ibsen looked at her and said 'on the contrary' and then he died"
