I really really really do not like and am not even remotely OK with the whole “she said no, but her eyes said yes,” as obtaining consent. That is very much not obtaining consent and I am beyond exhausted of this narrative and find it disgusting. Was this book written in 1970 or some other age when there wasn’t a discussion of the importance of consent?!
