Something like the Ebola breakout could have been a moment when we learn the value of international cooperation, science, the necessity of government to handle problems The Almighty Market cannot. Instead we see fear and ignorance exacerbated by the backwardness, superstition, primitive beliefs, hostility to science, and irrational hysteria by so many AMERICANS, especially politicos in Dallas, who think one death is an epidemic. Imagine if that one death were West Africa's 4,000+?
Seriously. Imagine it.
I think some cool dignified equanimity might be taught by Nigeria and Liberia to those panicked savages in the U.S.
